Ms. Rose's TheraPlace is a one-of-a-kind therapy practice that provides Occupational and Speech Therapy services to school districts in the Sacramento region. The TheraPlace is an experience that is provided through individualized treatment of children with a variety of needs, consultation, and education for adults involved in the development of children. We provide engaging workshops for teachers, support staff, and parents on efficient and practical ways to help children with a variety of disabilities to play, learn, and live!
School-Based SLP 3+ years experience in school setting.
Identify, screen, and assess students with impairments of speech and language communication
Monitor use of augmentative devices and systems.
Develop Individualized Education Programs, treatment plans, and measurable, school-based goals.
Provide school-based treatment; direct, group therapy, or consultation model.
Serve as case manager.
Establish good work relationship and collaboration with SLPAs.
Coordinate treatment plan with speech language pathology assistant; Implement treatment strategies with teachers, instructional aides, and/or IEP team members.
Provide training for teachers and instructional aides as needed.
Attend and manage IEP meetings; interpret evaluation, treatment, and progress results to parents and other IEP team members.
Document treatments, consultations, and assessment results; write annual progress, initial or triennial, as well as other IEP documents as needed.
Independently travel to school sites.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Maintaining confidentiality, detail oriented, meet deadlines, and manage schedules; work as part of a team, maintain effective working relationships, and translate therapy data into activities.
